VIP Overview

The DM_ABBVIP driver is primarily being shipped with IDXLite. IDXLite has its own configuration utility that populates some of the registry entries. IDXLite is a product that facilitates data exchange between the ABB and the Rockwell Control Processor like the Logix5550 through the Allen-Bradley 1756 ColtrolLogix chassis. A thourough description on the configuration of IDXLite and installation can be found in the IDXLite documentation. The DM_ABBVIP driver can be used with IDX but it is not recommended. The DM_ABBVIP driver can only run on the Rockwell SAM56 module.
