Performance Monitor Overview

The IDX Performance Monitor Driver provides powerful and flexible monitoring capabilities to new and existing communications infrastructure. It is able to use standard Windows Performance Monitoring capabilities and transport these monitored counters/statistics across disparate systems and communications technologies. This allows for standardised, cost-effective real-time and historical performance monitoring in industrial and other communications infrastructures.

The IDX Performance Monitor driver (PM_Perfmon) has three distinct functions:

1)   Monitor any Performance Monitor Counter on a specified local or remote Windows server.

2)   Monitor the status of a service as well as the Startup type of the service.

3)   Monitor the state of a process (running or not).
